Twinned bands and groups we have worked with
- "King" Naat Veliov & the Original KOCANI ORKESTAR-
An unforgettable concert in Darfo held by this band during the summer fair. They happily agreed to play some of their pieces with some of our musicians. A great feeling for us and for our audience.
- Bergmannsblaserorchester Kurbad Schlema-
"The miners' band from Schlema Terme", in the ex East Germany, on a gruyère cheese-like land for all the uranium mines. This band organises one of the biggest and most spectacular gatherings of bands in Europe.
- Filarmonica "G.Puccini" di Segromigno Monte (LU)-
The website of our friends from Tuscany. It is worth to have a look at their activities, particularly at the programs of their beautiful concerts which features first class opera singers.
- Harmonie Municipale Esch-sur-Alzette-
A fantastic band. Brilliant. The best band of Luxembourg. It is their task to honour the beginning of European nations in the six-month leading of the European Union with gala concerts.
- La Concordia de Vétroz-
A truly Swiss style fanfare. The only thing you can do when you listen to them is stare, open-mouthed. Definitely one of the best fanfares in Europe.
- Musikverein Stadtkapelle Herrenberg-
We owe so much to our friends in Germany: if we had never met them on our way, our ensemble would not have been so different. They literally opened our eyes (and ears..).
- ABBM - Association of the wind bands in the province of Bergamo-
Please refer to the same description of the ABMB (such is the situation when you are a border band like we are).
- ABMB - Association of wind bands in the province of Brescia-
An important starting point to get to know our nearer colleagues. We obviously are members of this association. There is a forum and constant updates on the activities of the bands of the province.
- Association of AUTONOME Italian Wind Bands-
For all those who play in a wind and brass band.
- International Band Bibliography - by Marino Anesa-
For all those who want to study the world of bands and their music, this is a good starting point with all the relevant information. Edited by the music scholar Marino Anesa, among the most prepared experts of the field.
- Comune di Darfo Boario Terme (BS)-
The website of our town, to be up to date on cultural and sport activities, politics and whatever happens on our territory.
- Province of Brescia-
Please refer to what is said for the website of Darfo, only with a larger point of view.
A "must" for Italian wind ensembles. More than 1180 members. A rich forum with discussions and important sections about laws, events, publications, everything and more about Italian ensembles.
More information for and about wind ensembles. Forum, banished articles (so they say), and the best bit: a page full of links where you can find whatever you are looking for.
- Associazione Filarmonica "Isidoro Capitanio" Banda Cittadina di Brescia-
Not a simple ensemble, but a true "factory" of band culture. Just think at the magazine "Brescia Musica", in the Magazine section, and at the important heritage left by the director Giovanni Ligasacchi.
- Banda Musicale di Pisogne-
Funny and ironic website of our friends on the Brescia side of the lake. A young, dynamic, active band, utterly surprising. Just look at the page of their repertoire to have a clearer view of what they do.
- Banda musicale G. Verdi di Tolfa-
A fresh graphic, full of animated GIF, is the touch of this site. Look at the page of the links, full of websites of bands and pictures.
- Banda Osiris-
Since everybody knows it, everybody knows that it is NOT a band like any other. If you need to cheer up, look at their "Enciclopedia" section: Not to be missed.
- Bandalpina-
Once upon a time music in the valleys of the Alps was like this. Poor instruments but great sounds. Music and songs from the heart of people. Bandalpina is among the best keepers and sharers of this culture.
- Corpo musicale Santa Cecilia Besana Brianza-
Three bands in one: Concert Band, Marching Band, Junior Band (and what a Junior Band). Fantastic tours, important awards, and a Band Festival on international level. There also a rich section of photos and videos, a forum and a lot of news.
- Musica Cittadina Pontremoli-
- Peggywrites-
Peggy's blog, our sax player, the linguist, the most international and craziest of the group (what else would you expect from a sax player?).
- Edizioni Musicali Eufonia-
Publisher of scores for bands, music for teaching and chamber music. Being from Pisogne, therefore in our zone, we are pretty close to it, and since the editors are also worthy band conductors, they have clear ideas on what to publish.
- The Bagpipe-
An unusual instrument for a band. Our ensemble has adopted it for the "little shepherds". This is a nice, rich site edited by Walter Biella, an expert, the creator of our own instrument. Every page is a modern jump into an ancient tradition.
